I visited this beautiful city during easter time with my partner. Luckily weather was quite friendly in those four days. Only the night we reached in Amsterdam, was terrible; it was raining and so chilly. But we were lucky as the rest of the days were quite sunny. Nearest airport is Schipol Airport which is not quite far from main city. You can look for hotels around airport and travel to city by train but personally I love to stay in city center on first visit.
